In 1994, a UFC fight would change his trajectory. "I fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship when I was 51. I fought Royce Gracie, a master of Brazilian jujitsu," Van Clief shared. "This is the highlight of my day, coming here," smiled Van Clief, before doing some groundwork on the mat with dojo member Dylan Uno. The 28-year-old proclaimed under beads of sweat after the workout that Van Clief is "one of the strongest guys I know- not just for his age but in general. Anytime you're rolling with him, it's pretty difficult."
